On Wednesday, Congress leaders had complained against Goswami accusing him of trying to communalise the loss of life of three humans in Maharashtra’s Palghar. Congress chief Nitin Raut also lodged a complain against him in Nagpur on Wednesday.

Republic TV leader Arnab Goswami and his wife have been attacked  on Wednesday in Mumbai by two unknown people  while driving home from the studio.

Goswami and his wife escaped unhurt from the attack.

The Republic TV leader has filed a police complaint wherein he said that the assault happened around 12:15 am and attackers after blocking his road tried to force the windows .Unsuccessful they threw a bottle containing a liquid at passenger side window.

He also stated that the attackers had been apprehended by Mumbai Police protection team.

In his criticism, Goswami pointed fingers on the Congress and cited a tweet from the leader Alka Lamba “just three hours after the assault”.

Union minister Prakash Javadekar condemned the attack on Goswami while BJP president JP Nadda stated it is surprising to see Arnab Goswami attacked after Congress leaders and ministers “publicly threatened him”.
