India  15th May 2025 – In line with the Government of India’s commitment to bring India among the top three aviation markets globally, the upcoming Inter Passenger Terminal Show 2025 (IPTS 2025) has signed on key partners including Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIAL) as the Airport Partner. The event, scheduled for June 11-12, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai will serve as a premier platform to showcase next-generation airport solutions, cutting edge AI/ML driven technologies and innovative passenger experiences and foster high-level industry collaboration.

Key industry participants already confirmed include: Dormakaba, a global leader in access solutions and Digi Yatra, a pioneer in facial recognition-based airport entry. Other confirmed names are Diamond Engineering, Waisl, HHG Industries, Kimoha, Cognitech, Leonardo, Inprocorp and Duo Decimal.

This is a pivotal time for India’s aviation sector, which is witnessing unprecedented growth. Investment in airport infrastructure is projected to exceed Rs. 60,000 crore during 2025-2027, driven by increased passenger traffic and tariff adjustments. The number of passengers at Indian airports is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8-9% across 2025-2027, with domestic traffic being the major contributor. According to ICRA, air traffic is projected to increase 8-11% year-on-year, reaching 407-418 million passengers this fiscal year. Domestic passenger traffic in January 2025 alone surged 14.5% year-on-year, exceeding pre-COVID levels by 17.9%. With India poised to become one of the world’s top three aviation markets in passenger traffic by 2052, the need for cutting-edge airport infrastructure and seamless passenger experiences has never been greater.

Taher Patrawala, Managing Director of Media Fusion LLC (organiser of the event), emphasised the significance of the event: "The inaugural edition of Inter Passenger Terminal Show 2025 will be a game-changer in shaping the future of airport innovation in India. With the Union Budget 2025 emphasising a future-ready travel ecosystem, aviation is set to be a major driver of economic growth. This event will serve as a catalyst for collaboration, technology adoption, and strategic partnerships as we bring the latest advancements, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative solutions in the field of airport passenger terminal design, operations, and enhanced passenger experiences, to the Indian aviation sector. We are thrilled to bring together leading global and Indian brands to foster knowledge-sharing and progress.”

India’s aviation sector has witnessed a phenomenal growth of over 40% in the last ten years, a testament to the transformative vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. The UDAN Scheme has revolutionized regional connectivity—awarding more than 1,300 routes and operationalizing 517—connecting even the remotest corners of the country through common

skies. Due to the visionary leadership of Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra stands as an example for promoting the best of aviation infrastructure for the growth of aviation industry, proudly hosting the biggest FTO in the country operated by Air India in Amravati. This surge in connectivity is instrumental in empowering communities, boosting tourism, and driving inclusive economic growth. As we continue to build a future-ready aviation ecosystem, we are proud to support platforms like IPTS 2025 that bring together thought leaders and innovators to share insights and shape the next chapter of India’s aviation story.” said Smt. Swati Pandey, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd.

The revamped UDAN scheme is set to enhance air travel access in underserved regions, further fuelling growth. Under the new version of the scheme, 120 new destinations will be added, connecting 4 crore passengers over the next 10 years. India’s air passenger traffic rose 11% Y-O-Y to 1.46crore in January, highlighting the urgent need for advanced airport infrastructure and efficient passenger management solutions.

Suresh Khadakbhavi, CEO, Digi Yatra Foundation says, "India’s airport landscape is undergoing a remarkable transformation driven by innovation, enhanced connectivity, and sustained policy focus. In just a decade, the number of operational airports has more than doubled, from 74 to nearly 160, underscoring the scale of opportunity. With a 6% rise in domestic traffic in 2024, India now ranks just behind China in global air travel growth. At Digi Yatra, we are proud to be part of this journey and look forward to showcasing our vision at the Inter Passenger Terminal Show 2025. As we embrace technology and collaboration, the future of India’s aviation sector holds immense promise for sustainable, seamless, and smart travel experiences.”

As India accelerates toward becoming a global aviation powerhouse, the Inter Passenger Terminal Show 2025 is poised to offer a key platform—uniting innovation, infrastructure, and industry insight on a single stage. With strategic partnerships, future-ready technologies, and a vision aligned with national growth ambitions, IPTS 2025 will redefine passenger experience and shape the next chapter of India’s aviation story.
