India's coronavirus cases tally has climbed by 14,256 fresh infections on Saturday, pushing the country's Covid-19 caseload to 1,06,39,684, according to the Union health ministry data. The fresh cases were detected on Friday.

As many as 152 coronavirus positive patients succumbed to the disease in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll due to coronavirus in India to 1,53,184. India also registered 17,130 discharges on Friday.

With the fresh number of coronavirus cases and discharges, the active Covid-19 cases in the country now stands at 1,85,662. So far, 10,300,838 people have recovered from the disease.
