Delhi reports fresh cases of coronavirus though the situation is under control

A total of 140 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus infection were reported in Delhi during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 6,35096.

 The Delhi Government said that 6,22882 people infected with COVID-19 have been cured so far. In the last 24 hours, 211 people recovered and 4 deaths were reported in the city taking the toll to ten thousand 853.


 Presently, the total number of active cases in the national capital is 1,361

Meanwhile, in Gujarat, 71,534 front line corona warriors were vaccinated against the COVID-19 yesterday. According to the state health department, a total of 3,17, 464 people have received the vaccine against Covid19 in the state till now. AIR correspondent reports that most of the senior police officers were vaccinated on the first day of the second phase of vaccination. 

 
District Collectors and District Superintendent of Police in most of the districts of Gujarat have taken vaccines against the COVID-19 today. These officers have taken vaccines in front of media persons to clear the doubts among the common people about the safety of vaccines.
 
Meanwhile, no death has been reported in the state due to COVID-19 during the last 24 hours. This has happened for the first time after the gap of 9 months that no death was reported in the state. 316 new cases reported during the last 24 hours, while 335 patients recovered and discharged from the various hospitals. The recovery rate has reached up to 97 per cent.
 
Maximum 79 new cases reported from Vadodara, while Ahmedabad recorded 73 new cases. The number of active cases in the state now reduced to 3450, out of this 33 patient is on ventilators.
