The New York Stock Exchange is decided to close its trading floor coming Monday fully move to online trading, the exchange’s operator Intercontinental Exchange announced today.
The physical locations which will close are the NYSE equities floor in New York, the NYSE American Options floor in NY and therefore the NYSE Arca Options trading floor in San Francisco.
It’s a precautionary measure to protect the health of traders and employees on the floor, the organisation says. Two people who worked on the floor have already been tested positive for Coronavirus, though they hadn’t been in the building this week
