Hyderabad, 22nd July, 2025 — In observance of World Brain Day 2025, Olive Hospital conducted an awareness seminar at G Pulla Reddy Degree & PG College, engaging students and faculty in a meaningful dialogue on mental resilience and cognitive health, aligned with this year’s global theme: “Brain Health for All Ages.” The seminar was conducted by Dr. Shaik Imran Ali, Consultant Neurosurgeon at Olive Hospital, who provided valuable insights on maintaining cognitive health, recognizing early signs of decline, and understanding how cognitive well-being contributes to emotional stability.

Speaking to over 200 students, Dr. Shaik Imran highlighted the critical role of lifestyle choices, stress management, and mental fitness in protecting cognitive function across all age groups. He said, “Because brain health doesn’t show visible signs of damage, it often gets overlooked and symptoms go undetected. That’s why maintaining our cognitive well-being is a daily responsibility—not just a medical concern. Building mental resilience is essential for academic achievement and lifelong neurological health. Remember to give your brain regular breaks, take time away from screens, and practice deep breathing during stressful moments to support your overall well-being.” The informative session also referenced a recent WHO report highlighting that neurological disorders are now the second leading cause of death and the primary cause of disability worldwide, underscoring the importance of early awareness and equitable access to neurological care.

Through this initiative, Olive Hospital aims to bridge the gap between clinical care and community awareness by educating younger generations on the fundamentals of brain health through interactive discussions on early warning signs of cognitive decline, techniques to improve focus, and practical steps to maintain mental clarity and emotional balance.

Olive Hospital continues to take proactive steps in extending its healthcare mission beyond hospital walls by collaborating with educational institutions, community organizations, and people at large.

World Brain Day is observed annually on 22nd July for raising awareness about brain health and neurological disorders.
