Bihar government has set a target to vaccinate one lakh, women, against Corona across the state on the occasion of International Women's Day. Health Minister Mangal Pandey said the state government has planned a mega immunization drive for women beneficiaries. Seven hundred additional staff have been deployed for today's vaccination.
It was reported that vaccination centres across the state have been decorated nicely on the occasion of Women’s day. Women who will come for vaccination will be greeted with rose flowers. Arrangements have been made for online and on-spot registration at session centres. The state government has instructed to pay special honour to those women who come for vaccination. Women of the two categories, 60 plus and 45 with co-morbidities will be inoculated.
Elderly women will be brought from their homes to vaccination centers with the help of Jeevika didi and Anganwadi workers. Bhagya Mani Mandal, a 97-year old woman, will get shot at IGIMS, Patna this afternoon. Women doctors have been deployed at session centers to supervise covid vaccinated women. Women staff have been deployed at most of the session sites. Services of Jeevika didi of the self-help group, Anganwadi Sahayika, and Asha workers will be taken for vaccination.
