The interesting event combined scientific learning, multidisciplinary discussions, technology updates, and professional networking, providing a platform for cancer specialists to exchange knowledge while also encouraging camaraderie beyond the clinical setting.

Pune: Onco-Life Cancer Centre organised an exclusive Doctors' Scientific Evening, bringing together oncologists, surgeons, radiation specialists, physicians, and healthcare professionals for an evening dedicated to scientific learning, collaboration, and professional networking. The programme focused on recent advances in cancer treatment while highlighting the importance of multidisciplinary care in improving patient outcomes.

The academic sessions covered several important developments in oncology. Experts discussed the role of Helical TomoTherapy in managing complex and challenging cancer cases, advancements in precision oncology, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy, as well as modern surgical approaches, including organ preservation, HIPEC, and multidisciplinary treatment planning. A panel discussion on the future of multidisciplinary cancer care enabled specialists from different fields to exchange ideas on delivering comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for patients. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session and closing remarks.

The evening also featured a special scientific presentation by Elekta, the title sponsor, highlighting recent advancements in Online Adaptive Technology and its role in improving precision radiation therapy. Following the academic programme, doctors participated in a networking session that encouraged meaningful interactions and the exchange of clinical experiences across specialties.

Adding a lighter touch to the evening, the organisers hosted a stand-up comedy programme featuring comedians Shamik Chakrabarti, Rohit Shah, and Siddhartha Shetty, followed by dinner and networking. The informal sessions provided healthcare professionals with an opportunity to unwind, strengthen professional relationships, and celebrate the spirit of collaboration beyond the hospital environment.

Mr. Uday Deshmukh, Chairman & Founder CEO, said, "Cancer care is advancing rapidly, and continuous scientific learning is essential to ensure patients receive the most appropriate and evidence-based treatment. Meetings like these allow specialists from different disciplines to discuss emerging therapies, exchange clinical experiences, and work towards a more collaborative approach to cancer management. Such academic interactions ultimately translate into better treatment planning and improved outcomes for patients."

Mr. Sachin Deshmukh, Managing Director, said, "Our objective was to create a platform where scientific discussions, technological advancements, and multidisciplinary collaboration could come together in one setting. Equally important was providing an opportunity for doctors to connect beyond their clinical responsibilities, strengthen professional relationships, and continue building a collaborative healthcare ecosystem that benefits both clinicians and patients."

The scientific evening reflected Onco-Life Cancer Centre's continued commitment to promoting oncology education, encouraging multidisciplinary collaboration, and supporting continuous medical learning to enhance the quality of cancer care.
