Over 300 hospitals are served notices for false claims under Ayushman Bharat scheme

300 hospitals have been served show cause notice and subsequently de-empanelled and fined Rs 3 crore for submitting false or forged claims under Ayushman Bharat helth Insurance scheme.

300 hospitals have been served show cause notice and subsequently de-empanelled and fined Rs 3 crore for submitting false or forged claims under Ayushman Bharat health Insurance scheme.This was done by creating fake cards and manipulating forged claims under the AB-PMJAY scheme.Union Health minister Mr Ashwini Choubey stated that fraudelent hospitals has been dealt accordingly by respective state government.

"More than 338 hospitals have been served show cause notice/suspended /deempanelled in different states and penalty of over Rs 3 crore have been levied on errant hospitals," he said.There is also a close watch being maintained on illegal beneficiaries while 3,785 common service centers have been deactivated in 21 states .Right now Pradahan Mantri Arogya Mitra ids also have been blocked in all these states.

Expalining the other actions taken to control the malpractices by hospitals Mr Choubey said "A vigil is being maintained on utilisation of data through real time dashboards to identify suspect cases for overutilisation."
