Mumbai, 27 May 2026: In recognition of sustained efforts and impact created through BDR Foundation’s initiatives, Raheel Shah, Director of Business Development at BDR Pharmaceuticals, was felicitated at the HURUN INDIA Philanthropy Summit & Awards 2026 for CSR Leadership in Healthcare Transformation in association with EdelGive Foundation.

The HURUN INDIA Philanthropy Summit & Awards brings together leading philanthropists, business leaders, foundations, and social impact organisations to recognise individuals and institutions driving meaningful change through philanthropy and CSR-led initiatives across sectors.

Speaking on the recognition, Raheel Shah said, “We have always believed that meaningful healthcare extends beyond medicines. Through BDR Foundation, our focus remains on contributing to initiatives that can positively impact communities and support people where it matters the most.”

Through the foundation, the company has continued to undertake initiatives focused on healthcare access, education, sanitation, environmental sustainability, women empowerment, and rural development across communities in India. For instance, as part of their community outreach efforts, they had organised a meal distribution initiative at Nair Hospital, serving nutritious meals to patients and hospital staff.

Guided by the philosophy of “Thinking from the Heart,” the Foundation has supported programmes centered on access to life-saving medicines, cancer care support, blood donation drives, preventive healthcare and sanitation awareness, safe drinking water initiatives, and educational and vocational support for underserved communities.

BDR Foundation has also extended support towards women empowerment initiatives through the Swayamdeep institution, aimed at encouraging skill development and self-reliance.

The recognition reflects the increasing importance of corporate-led social responsibility initiatives in creating long-term community impact and further reinforces BDR Foundation’s continued commitment towards healthcare-driven social development.
