New Delhi, December 30, 2025 – Romsons Group, a leading player in India's healthcare and hygiene industry with over 70 years of legacy, has launched two new products aimed at expanding its presence across the personal hygiene spectrum - Poochie Play Pants Baby Diapers and Dignity Bloom Disposable Period Panty.

Director Sahil Khanna revealed details about both product lines during his appearance on The Startup Caffe podcast, explaining how the company is leveraging its medical device heritage and R&D capabilities to address specific consumer pain points in highly competitive categories.

Poochie Play Pants: Entering the Baby Diaper Arena with Advanced Core

The recently launched Poochie marks Romsons entry into India's baby diaper market, valued at approximately 10 times the size of the adult diaper category and currently dominated by multinational brands.

"It's a very good product and again this is a market which is highly, highly competitive. There are maybe more than 100 brands in the market," Khanna told host Sriwant Wariz during the interview. "We are getting very good response."

How Poochie Helps Parents

Poochie Play Pants Baby Diapers is available in both tape and pant styles, responding to a significant market shift Khanna identified during the interview.

For parents and caregivers, Poochie offers:

  • Enhanced Absorption and Retention: Advanced core technology prevents leakage during extended wear
  • Comfortable Fit: Designed for active babies with a focus on movement freedom
  • Competitive Pricing: Quality product positioned accessibly for Indian families
  • Trusted Legacy: Backed by Romsons 70+ years of experience in medical-grade disposables

Bloom: Reimagining Period Protection

Dignity Bloom Disposable Period Panty represents Romsons innovation in the female hygiene segment with a period panty that addresses fundamental limitations of conventional sanitary napkins.

"It's a period panty, pants-style period panty," Khanna explained during the interview, distinguishing it from traditional pad-based solutions.

How Bloom Helps Women

Bloom offers women:

  • No-Shift Protection: Integrated design eliminates pad movement during physical activity
  • Spillage Prevention: Built-in absorption layer provides comprehensive coverage
  • Single-Layer Comfort: No need for additional underwear, reducing bulk and discomfort
  • Active Lifestyle Compatibility: Designed for women who refuse to let their period slow them down
  • Dignity and Confidence: Invisible protection for work, exercise, and social activities

Addressing India's Hygiene Product Accessibility Gap

The launch of Poochie and Bloom aligns with Romsons broader mission to improve hygiene product accessibility across India, where market penetration remains surprisingly low even for essential products.

"Sanitary napkin is around 12% and baby diaper is around 25 to 30%," Khanna revealed during the interview, highlighting the significant untapped market potential.

The company's strategy focuses on making quality products accessible and affordable. "Our products are anyways economical. We don't sell very expensive products throughout the country and we feel like whatever product is being utilized in the urban area should also be available in the rural area."
