Mumbai/Kolkata/Bhubaneshwar, May 16, 2025: SBI Securities, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, collaborated with Sightsavers India for its “Netra Vasant – Rural Eye Health Programme” to enhance the eye care services in multiple districts of Odisha and West Bengal.

Through the Programme, this initiative directly addresses the critical need for improved healthcare infrastructure, specifically in preventive eye care. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of District Hospitals and NGO Hospitals in the region by providing them with essential medical equipment for their Eye Outpatient Departments (OPDs) and Eye Operation Theatres (OTs). These healthcare facilities are instrumental in delivering vital eye care services to their communities, often serving vulnerable populations who face significant barriers in accessing quality treatment.

On this occasion, Shri Sushanta Kumar Das, CFO & WTD  of SBICAP Securities Ltd., said " At SBI Securities, we recognize the profound impact that good vision has on an individual's quality of life and their ability to participate fully in society. We are pleased to partner with Sightsavers India in this crucial endeavor to enhance eye care services in Odisha. This contribution will provide essential equipment to strengthen the capacity of local hospitals, ensuring timely and quality eye care reaches those who need it most. This initiative aligns with our commitment to promoting healthcare and creating a positive impact on the well-being of communities in need.”

RN Mohanty, CEO of Sightsavers India said, We appreciate the generous support from SBI Securities towards strengthening eye care services in Odisha and West Bengal. The provision of essential equipment will certainly enhance service delivery at hospitals, which are already playing a critical role in community health. By strengthening infrastructure and building capacity in underserved areas, this collaboration helps extend access to sustainable eye health. Together, we are building resilient eye health systems for now and the future.”

This collaboration between SBI Securities and Sightsavers India underscores the commitment of both organizations promoting healthcare and improving the lives of vulnerable populations through targeted interventions and the strengthening of local healthcare systems.
