Sharda Care Healthcity Successfully Removes Massive 16.5 kg Ovarian Tumour in High-Risk Patient

Ovarian cancer is one of the most common gynecologic cancers that has the highest mortality rate. The mortality rate of ovarian cancer in India is 2.3 and 2.02 per 100,000 cases¹

Greater Noida, April 23- Recently, a 58-year-old lady was successfully treated at Sharda Care Healthcity, a leading super-speciality hospital, for the successful removal of a 16.5 kg ovarian tumour. The patient came to the hospital with frail nutritional status, being severely undernourished and underweight, with compromised lung function, and the sheer size of the tumour. Additionally, she had trouble in breathing and had partial pneumonia.
