In a major milestone for India’s digital healthcare journey, Sharda Hospital has become North India’s first medical hospital to go fully paperless.

Greater Noida, 24th December 2025: In a major milestone for India’s digital healthcare journey, Sharda Hospital has become North India’s first medical hospital to go fully paperless. Powered by Presco’s Paperless IPD platform, the transition marks a decisive shift toward faster, safer, and more patient-centric care delivery, while setting new standards for efficiency and sustainability in large tertiary hospitals.

The fully digital ecosystem strengthens Sharda’s leadership in medical education by enabling real-time access to clinical data and modern digital workflows. This provides medical students with hands-on exposure to future-ready hospital systems, seamlessly bridging academic learning with real-world clinical practice. The initiative aligns with the Honourable Prime Minister’s Digital Health Mission and significantly reduces environmental impact by eliminating paper-based processes, saving millions of sheets annually, and improving audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and preparedness for national digital health programmes.

Commenting on the milestone, Dr. Ram Murthi Sharma, Medical Superintendent, Sharda Hospital, said, “Going completely paperless is a transformative step for patient care. Instant access to accurate clinical information enables faster decision-making, stronger coordination among care teams, and improved patient safety, allowing clinicians to focus on delivering timely, high-quality care.”

The transformation has been driven by Sharda’s leadership, including Chairman Shri. P.K Gupta, Vice Chairman Shri. Y.K Gupta, and Managing Director Mr. Rishabh Gupta, who ensured smooth adoption and staff-friendly implementation across the hospital and medical college. The digital backbone for this initiative was provided by Presco, whose Co-founder Vikram Totre commended Sharda Hospital’s clear vision and commitment to building a future-ready, technology-driven healthcare institution.

With this achievement, Sharda Hospital emerge as a national benchmark for integrating technology, education, sustainability, and compassionate care ushering in a new era of smarter and more resilient healthcare for North India.
