The University of Manchester Launches First-Ever Manchester Explorer India Summer School for High-Achieving Grade 10 and 11 Students

Five-Day Immersive Programme Bringing World-Leading Education to India .

March 18, 2026: The University of Manchester is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Manchester Explorer India Summer School, a five-day immersive educational experience taking place 1-5 June 2026 in Delhi NCR. Designed for outstanding Grade 10 and 11 students, this pioneering programme combines world-class teaching with hands-on workshops and activities that foster scientific curiosity, inspire future innovation, and introduce students to the broad scope of study and research at one of the UK’s leading universities. 

 

Hosted by Heritage International Xperiential School, Gurugram, the Summer School offers students a unique opportunity to engage directly with academics from The University of Manchester, ranked 35th in the world by QS in 2026, and explore real-world applications across Computer Science, Psychology, Engineering (including chemical, mechanical, aerospace and civil), Biological & Biomedical Sciences. Participants will take part in masterclasses, collaborative challenges, and research-led instruction that reflect the breadth and depth of Manchester’s undergraduate programmes.

Programme Highlights 

 

  • Interactive academic pathways: Tailored learning focused on either Biological & Biomedical Sciences and Psychology or Computer Science & Engineering, including chemical, mechanical, aerospace, civil, and computing fields.  
  • Expert instruction: Engage with top researchers and lecturers firsthand.  
  • Hands-on learning: Participate in labs, experiments, group challenges, design exercises, and problem-solving activities.  
  • Certificate of Completion: All participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the programme.  

 

Eligibility & Application 

 

The programme is open to academically excellent Grade 10 and 11 students from India with strong performance in science, mathematics, and English in national or state board examinations or equivalent international qualifications. Applications are evaluated on merit and academic achievement.  While the published deadline is April 6, the University would like to include as many quality students as possible and will evaluate late applications during the whole month of April on a case-by-case basis, based on merit, subject to capacity. 

 

Access & Fees 

This initiative is a non-profit educational programme with a fee of INR 30000, payable to Heritage International Xperiential School. There are no residential components; participants must arrange their own accommodation and travel.
