Traya Rejected Me. Then I Understood Why - And It Changed How I Think About Every Health Brand - The Story Behind Stage 6 By Raj Nihalani | Mumbai, Maharashtra| Businessman

I have spent more money on my hair than I have on most things I actually own.

Oils. Serums. Random products I'd pick off pharmacy shelves. Home remedies I'd find scrolling the internet at midnight. Every brand said the same thing in different packaging. Every brand said they could help. Not one told me the truth.

I'm 57. The truth, the one I finally got after decades of trying was that nobody could help me the way I was hoping to be helped. And the answer didn't come from a dermatologist I spent thousands on. It came from Traya.

I found them the way most men do. An Instagram ad. A friend's recommendation. The quiet desperation of watching your hairline become something you avoid in photographs. I'd seen the transformation stories. I'd heard about users who got results. I thought let's give it one more try.

I took their free hair test. It was more detailed than anything I'd encountered before. My diet. My sleep. My stress. My gut health. How long I'd been losing hair. I uploaded photos of my scalp. Answered honestly. Then waited for the treatment plan.

What came back shocked me.

"Traya Experts Recommend A Hair Transplant At This Stage."

Every brand that sold me products over the years said yes without examining what they were saying yes to. Traya looked at my hair test, my scalp images, my history and said no.

They could have sold me their treatment plan. They chose to tell me the truth instead. Every other brand took my money and gave me hope that went nowhere. Traya refused my money and gave me an honest answer.

People ask me why would you design a system that turns away paying customers?

The answer is simple. Non-surgical Hair loss treatments only work when there are living follicles to work with. That's not my opinion. That's biology. And it's the fundamental truth most of the industry chooses to ignore because acknowledging it means saying no to revenue.

At Stage 6 on the Norwood Scale, the follicles in the affected areas are permanently closed. No product or treatment  can naturally revive what no longer exists biologically. We could easily sell a treatment to someone at this stage. Plenty of brands do and promise hair regrowth. The customer would use it for months, see nothing, and move on to the next new trend. That cycle is how this industry has operated for decades. We refuse to be part of it.

Our hair test is designed to be transparent from the very first interaction. When someone's results show Stage 6, the system doesn't recommend a treatment. It recommends a hair transplant consultation. That's a deliberate choice we made on day one and have never compromised on. At that stage, only a transplant can give hair to the consumer.

For customers between Stage 1 and Stage 5 where follicles are still alive and responsive, our customised treatment integrating Ayurveda, Dermatology, and Nutrition delivers real, measurable results. We are able to rejuvenate the dormant hair follicles and make them active again. We back it with hair coaches who guide every customer through a five-to-six-month journey. We stand behind what works.

But confidence in what works must come with honesty about what doesn't. If we can help, we will thoroughly, personally, and relentlessly do it. If we can't, we'll say that upfront and guide you toward what can work out. There is no middle ground.

The hair care industry has normalised saying yes to everyone because every yes is revenue. We believe the long-term cost of a dishonest yes in broken trust, in wasted time, in someone's confidence eroding further is far greater than the short-term cost of an honest no.

The core brand promise for Traya is results. If we cannot offer you results, we do not sell to you. Because trust isn’t built by selling more. It’s built by knowing when not to.
