Triveni, a 3-day Music Festival to be held from the 5th to the 7th of January in the city

Hyderabad, December 26, 2024…… Triveni, a three-day Music and Dance festival will be held in the city from the 5th to 7th of January.  It will be held at Lalitakala Thoranam in Public Gardens.  It will be organised by Surmandal in association with the Department of Culture, Government of Telangana, Canara Bank. It will be held from 6.30 pm onwards on all three days.

 

Surmandal is a group formed by music lovers of Hyderabad way back in 1969. It was founded by the late Sri Mohan Hammadi, who served Indian Hindustani Classical Music for the past so many years. Since then, it has been promoting Indian classical Music uninterruptedly.  Surmandal has organised top-notch music events showcasing the beauty and depth of Indian classical music to audiences worldwide.

 

The three-day programme begins with Sitar and Santoor recital by young artists of Hyderabad Kum Shruti Katkuri and Kum Sshreeja Katkuri accompanied by Vijay Kumar Panchal on Tabla.

 

Following this, a Percussion Melody will be performed by Ustad Taufiq Qureshi on Djembe, Pt Yogesh Samsi on Tabla Vid Satish Patri on Mridungam and Tanmay Decochoke on Harmonium. The programme will conclude by 9.30 pm.

 

On day two 6th January 2024 at 6.30 pm vocal melody program will be held by Ms Sniti Mishra famous vocalist accompanied by Ajeeth Pathak on Tabla and Sri Rahul Deshpande on Harmonium. At 8.00 pm Sarod recital will be held by Pandit Shubendra Rao accompanied by Pt Yogesh Samsi on Tabla.

 

On day three 7th January 2024, the final day of the three-day festival, the evening will begin with Carnatic vocals at 6.30 pm by Master Adithya a special child with a learning disability (Autism) who excels in Carnatic vocals.

 

Followed by Carnatic Vocals will be a Sarod recital by Pt Partho Sarothy Choudhary accompanied by Pt Yogesh Samsi on Tabla.

 

The final programme of the festival will be a Kathank Dance by PT. Rajendr Gangani was accompanied on instruments by Pt Fateh Singh Gangani on Tabla Shivkrishna Swaroop on Violin and Samiullah Khan on vocal.
