University of Wollongong India Opens Applications for Master of Financial Technology (FinTech)

India, June 8, 2026: The University of Wollongong India is now accepting applications for its Master of Financial Technology (FinTech) program, starting in July 2026, a future-focused program which is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge at the intersection of finance, technology, and data analytics.

 

Designed for students looking to build specialised capabilities in a rapidly evolving financial landscape, the program goes beyond traditional finance education by integrating emerging technologies with data-driven decision-making.

 

Located in GIFT City - India’s emerging global financial hub - the program offers students a unique opportunity to learn within a live ecosystem where innovation in finance and technology is actively shaping the future of industry.

 

A degree designed for where finance is going - not where it has been

 

The program enables students to develop expertise across key areas such as blockchain, digital payments, financial data analytics, and regulatory technologies. By combining strong theoretical foundations with practical application, it prepares graduates to drive innovation and support digital transformation across banks, fintech companies, financial institutions, and technology firms.

 

The program structure is designed for both flexibility and depth, allowing students to tailor their learning journey while gaining exposure to real-world financial and technological challenges.

Course Delivery:

The Master of Financial Technology (FinTech) can be completed over 1.5 years of full-time study, with students undertaking three subjects per trimester. A part-time study option is also available, enabling students to progress at a pace that suits their professional and personal commitments.

Throughout the program, students benefit from industry-relevant curriculum, applied learning approaches, and engagement with academic and industry experts - ensuring a strong alignment between classroom learning and real-world application.

With its strong focus on emerging financial technologies and industry integration, the program prepares graduates for diverse career pathways in one of the fastest-growing sectors globally.

Entry Requirements: A recognised bachelor's degree with an average mark of 50% or a recognised master’s degree in financial technology. Other tertiary qualifications, along with extensive professional experience, will be considered. Students with a score for a competitive exam such as CAT, JEE, etc. will also be considered. 

 

Start Date: 03rd August 2026

 

Application Deadline: 31st July 2026

 

Duration: 1.5 years

 

English Language Requirements: Students will need IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component, and a TOEFL overall score of 79-93, or a Medium of Instruction letter from their home institute confirming language requirements.

 

Tuition: AUD 27,900 (18,74,416 INR approx)
