The United States on Monday affirmed 59,222 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, Johns Hopkins University revealed in its continuous count.
That put the all outnumber of cases in the US, the country hardest-hit by the worldwide pandemic, at more than 3.36 million, the Baltimore-based college said at 8:30 pm (0030 GMT Tuesday).
Another 411 passings were accounted for, carrying that complete cost to 135,582.
The nation has seen a resurgence of cases in the alleged Sun Belt, extending over the south from Florida to California.
That uptick has incited a few states to backtrack on extricating their enemy of infection limitations - or to reestablish harder measures.
On Monday, California's Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom requested the conclusion of indoor eateries, bars, cinemas, beauty parlors and places of love to stem the spread.
