Hyderabad, 24th March, 2026: Yashoda Hospitals Hitec City successfully diagnosed a saccular aneurysm of the descending thoracic aorta in Mr. Ravi Jayanth Rao Chavan (38) from Nanded, Maharashtra, following his admission with complaints of fever, persistent cough, hemoptysis (coughing blood), and hoarseness of voice.

Advanced imaging, including a CT aortogram, revealed a saccular aneurysm involving the arch of the aorta, a potentially life-threatening condition that can rupture if left untreated. Cardiac evaluation showed good heart function with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (65%), and the patient remained hemodynamically stable.

The cardiothoracic team has planned a hybrid approach involving debranching with TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair), a minimally invasive, life-saving procedure designed to exclude the aneurysm and prevent rupture.

During his hospital stay, the patient was medically stabilized with antibiotics, blood pressure control, and supportive care before being discharged in stable condition with strict follow-up advice.
