As a tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee UP gets a new hospital

In a tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation of a 300 bedded hospital under the establishment of King George Medical University at Balarampur yesterday. He also laid the foundation stone of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Satellite Centre of King George Medical University in Balrampur district.

With this the state government has directly linked the first parliamentary constituency of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the King George Medical University in Lucknow. For the first time in Uttar Pradesh, a satellite center of a medical institution is being established in another district. Balrampur is considered a backward district in the field of health and medical education and comes under the category of aspirational district of the Government of India.

Former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee had an emotional connection with the people of Balrampur. This was the place from where he started his electoral career by reaching the Parliament from here in 1957.

In a major decision related to women security in the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered to establish women help desks in each and every police station of the state.

The Chief Minister gave the instruction in a meeting with senior government officials and asked them to prioritize and ensure the women's security in the state.

Referring to the Mission Shakti to be launched for the women's safety and security on tomorrow, the first day of the Navratri, the chief minister dedicated the upcoming Navratri days to women's and empowerment.

Our correspondent reports that the official press release says that generally, women hesitate in registering their complaints with male cops in the police station. Keeping this in mind, Women police personnel will be given the charge of these women help desks so that every woman in the state can register her complain freely and fearlessly.

Government has directed to implement this order with immediate effect. The women police personnel deputed on helpdesk will not only listen to the complaints of women but will always be ready to help them anytime. The government had earlier established pink booths at various intersections of Lucknow. Women Cops are also deployed at major Crossings in various big cities including state capital Lucknow. It has also made arrangements to drop working women to their homes at odd hours.
