Addressing 150 plus health-conscious individuals, Dr Thirunahari Srinivas Prasad, Medical Officer of Ayush Integrated Wellness Center, NIMS, Punjagutta said  Ayurveda is an ancient science for modern times. It is ancient in origin but modern in application. Ayurveda is a personalised holistic system of medicine that adapts to modern lifestyles.

Dr Prasad spoke about the basics of Ayurveda, its relevance to modern diseases, success stories, and longevity tips.

Your food is your medicine. He spoke about the holistic approach and whole-body wellness.

Ayurveda and Naturopathy combination is the best of both worlds and benefits from natural remedies and alternative therapies that address the root cause of diseases, he added.

He spoke about the Ayurveda and Allopathy combination.  Integrate Ayurvedic principles and practices into conventional medicine and optimize the effectiveness of treatments, Dr TS Prasad said.

He suggested stocking the Kitchen with Wholesome Ingredients. Creating a health pharmacy in your kitchen is easy, Dr Prasad said. He gave a list of Ayurvedic essentials to get started. Turmeric, Fennel, Coriander, Cumin and others.

Suresh Kumar Singhal, Senior Vice President of FTCCI giving his opening remarks said Ayurveda traces the root cause of the disease and tries to eradicate it. It helps the body to become stronger.  It develops the ability to fight diseases better.

Your kitchen is your pharmacy said Shekhar Agarwal, Chairman of the Health Committee in his opening remarks.

Laxminivas Sarma, a past president of FTCCI shared his experience with Ayurveda over allopathy. When he suffered from a neck problem, allopaths suggested surgery, but he went for Ayurveda and he is now completely cured of it. I am not saying allopathy is bad. It can be used only in cases of emergency. Ayurveda has the least side effects. Youth don’t believe in Ayurveda but after some use cases, youth also follow Ayurveda, he said.

Ravi Kumar, Vice President of FTCCI also participated.
