Feminine hygiene startup, Sirona, has raised a whopping ₹100 crore ($13.4 million) from Good Glamm Group. Sirona manufactures women hygiene and sanitary products ranging from biodegradable sanitary pads to pain relief patches.
Before this, the venture had raised $3 million in its Series A round. The lead investors in this April funding round were Indian Angel Network and NB Ventures. Till now, they have raised $16.9 million in four funding rounds.
The makers of PeeBuddy and menstrual products saw secondary buyouts with early investors taking an exit. The early investors of the company received 6x to 20x exit.
Sirona has made the promise to reach the ₹500 crore mark in revenues in the next three years. They currently are at Rs 75 crore run rate. The GGG, will be investing another 100 crore in the next couple of years.
Sirona said the partnership with the Good Glamm group will help them scale up faster by increasing their offline presence and content. The Good Glamm group, the owner of MyGlamm, hosts a range of beauty and personal care brands under its wing.
The Good Glamm Group has already acquired female-related brands like Baby Chakra, The Moms Co, ScoopWhoop and MissMalini. WIth Sirona, they are entering the female hygiene segment.
Last month, Good Glamm Group themselves raised $150 million from Prosus Ventures and Warburg Pincus, pushing them into the unicorn club. Its previous investors have been Accel, Ascent Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Amazon and more.
